Resize images without uploading them anywhere
Whether it's a LinkedIn banner that keeps getting rejected, an Instagram story that's the wrong shape, or a batch of photos that need the same exact size - this tool resizes them directly in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, so even sensitive screenshots and personal photos stay on your device.
Fit, fill, or stretch - which mode do I want?
- Fit inside shrinks the image until it fits within your dimensions, keeping every pixel. Best when you must not lose any of the image.
- Fill exactly produces the exact size by scaling and center-cropping. Best for banners, covers and thumbnails that must match a platform's shape.
- Stretch forces the exact size without cropping - only useful when slight distortion doesn't matter.
Common sizes (built into the presets)
Instagram post 1080×1080 · Instagram story/reel 1080×1920 · LinkedIn banner 1584×396 · LinkedIn profile photo 400×400 · YouTube thumbnail 1280×720 · X/Twitter header 1500×500 · Facebook cover 820×312.
FAQ
Does this Image Resizer upload files to a server?
- No - resizing happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API.
Can I resize many images at once?
- Yes, drop a whole batch and they're all resized with the same settings.
Will the image lose quality?
- Downscaling is visually safe. Upscaling beyond the original size will look soft - no resizer can invent detail.
